The Distribution Center Inspector is responsible for ensuring inbound and internal product handling meets company standards, vendor requirements, and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role supports inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance by performing inspections, validating documentation, and escalating issues when required.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect inbound freight, product, and documentation to ensure compliance with company, vendor, and regulatory standards

  • Validate purchase orders, bills of lading, and system records to support accurate receiving and inventory control

  • Define inbound case content using Warehouse Management System.

  • Input merchandise attributes into Warehouse Management System to ensure appropriate DC flow path is used.

  • Sign for merchandise on Bill of Ladings in accordance with SOP.

  • Escalate issues in accordance with established procedures; repeated errors may result in corrective action

  • Support timely flow of product through the Distribution Center to meet operational and shipping timelines

  • Follow all safety, security, and operational policies and procedures

Schedule & Environment

  • Multiple shifts available, including weekends and holidays as business needs require

  • Fast paced‑ distribution center environment

Education and Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures

  • Basic computer and math skills and ability to work with warehouse or receiving systems

  • Ability to work independently and make decisions within defined guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a distribution center, warehouse, inventory control, quality, or compliance role

  • Experience identifying process gaps, compliance issues, or inventory discrepancies

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for duration of the shift

  • Ability to lift up‑ to 50 lbs
