General Labor Services is seeking an experienced and dependable Receiver to join our team. This is a critical role within our operation, serving as the central point for all incoming shipments and materials. We are looking for a highly qualified candidate with strong receiving, shipping, and inventory management experience.

Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, including small packages and dock freight.
Unload trucks and materials safely and efficiently.
Operate a forklift to move and store materials.
Communicate shipment damages, shortages, and mis-shipments to Sales and Inventory Control personnel via email and phone.
Maintain accurate receiving records and inventory documentation.
Utilize spreadsheets to track and log daily truck activity.
Assist with unloading lumber trucks when the primary lumber receiver is unavailable.

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a receiving, shipping, warehouse, or logistics role.
Forklift operating experience required;forklift certification preferred.
Strong inventory control and inventory management experience.
Ability to accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments.
Proficiency with computers, including email, data entry, and spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Excel preferred).
Ability to identify and report shipping discrepancies, damages, and mis-shipments.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties, including loading and unloading freight.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
High school diploma or GED required.
