Position Summary

The Warehouse Receiving Coordinator / Inventory Clerk is responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, documentation, storage, and tracking of all incoming materials and inventory. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and supporting production needs through timely and organized material handling. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, computer proficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, verify, and process incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Review packing slips, bills of lading, and receiving documents to ensure compliance with purchase orders.
  • Unload deliveries safely and efficiently using proper material handling procedures.
  • Accurately count, label, and record inventory received into the inventory management system.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations while maintaining proper stock rotation practices.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Compare physical inventory against system records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain detailed inventory logs and supporting documentation for warehouse records.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams regarding inventory status and material availability.
  • File and maintain all receiving, inventory, and shipping documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, damages, or discrepancies to management.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including a scissor lift, to perform inventory counts and material retrieval at elevated rack locations.
  • Assist with shipping activities as needed, including preparing and verifying outbound shipments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
  • Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety regulations, and company procedures.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, receiving procedures, and inventory control practices.
  • Ability to safely operate a scissor lift and work at heights up to seven rack levels for inventory counting and verification.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and process compliance.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of warehouse, receiving, inventory control, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management software and warehouse management systems required.
  • Forklift and/or scissor lift experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
  • Ability to climb and work at elevated heights using warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions.

Work Environment

  • Warehouse and manufacturing facility environment.
  • Frequent material handling and physical labor required.
  • Exposure to warehouse equipment, inventory storage systems, and shipping/receiving operations.
  • Must follow all safety protocols and GMP requirements.
