Warehouse Shift Lead

Job Summary:

The Shift Lead will assist the management team in ensuring the safety, quality, morale, and productivity of a team of 5-20 warehouse associates. This leadership role will oversee the accurate and timely receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and shipping of a wide variety of products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in supervising the functions and working of the warehouse workers

• Delegating and assigning tasks and targets and evaluating the working of the staff

• Adhering to the compliance of all legal and safety procedures

• Managing the inventory; work areas include receipt, pick, pack, ship and return of product

• Assist in supervising proper shift allocations and ensuring efficiency of all warehouse staff

• Organizing and conducting necessary training activities for the staff and workers

• Ensuring the proper functioning of all warehouse tools and equipment

• Effective communication of all safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics to senior leaders

Skills & Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in a warehouse; ecommerce preferred

• Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills

• Senior presence with thoughtful, articulate communication style

• Able to work collaboratively across functions and synthesize multiple points of view into a streamlined action plan.

• Adept at communicating up and down and at pivoting approach depending on the audience's needs.

• Experience with picking and packing both direct to consumer and business to business orders.

• Experience operating within multiple warehouse management systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 30 pounds repetitively and more than 50 pounds with a two person lift as needed

• Able to stand/walk up to 10 hours with scheduled breaks

• Ability to work in an environment that includes climbing stairs, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting, and pushing on a frequent basis

Schedule:

• All Shift Leads are expected to remain open for any shift change as business needs dictate to include overtime availability.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $19.00-$24.00/hour depending on experience
