Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Warehouse / Shipping Associate to join a busy warehouse operation in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for picking materials, preparing outgoing shipments, operating material-handling equipment, building shipping pallets, and supporting inventory movement throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate has previous warehouse, shipping, or forklift experience and is comfortable working in a physically active, non-temperature-controlled environment. Strong attention to detail is important, as associates must accurately follow work orders and shipping lists to ensure the correct materials and quantities are prepared for shipment.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous forklift experience preferred
Previous warehouse or shipping experience preferred
Ability to accurately read and follow work orders and shipping lists
Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
Ability to identify and pull correct materials and quantities
Comfortable operating material-handling equipment
Dependable attendance and reliable work habits
Ability to work independently and as part of a warehouse team
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse throughout the year
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Review work orders and shipping lists for required materials
Locate and pull correct products and quantities
Pull steel and other warehouse supplies
Stage materials for outgoing shipments
Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials
Operate sit-down propane forklifts
Operate sit-down electric forklifts
Use electric and manual pallet jacks
Build pallets according to shipping requirements
Arrange and secure products on shipping pallets
Operate a pallet-wrapping machine
Band completed pallets for transportation
Apply appropriate shipping labels
Assist with inventory organization and material movement
Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse areas
Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Perform additional warehouse and shipping duties as assigned
Shipping & Order Preparation
Review shipping documentation before pulling materials
Verify product descriptions and required quantities
Pick materials accurately from warehouse locations
Stage completed orders for shipment
Build and prepare shipping pallets
Wrap, band, and label completed pallets
Verify orders before they move to the shipping area
Help ensure outgoing shipments are prepared accurately and on schedule
Forklift & Material Handling
Candidates may regularly work with:
Sit-down propane forklifts
Sit-down electric forklifts
Electric pallet jacks
Manual pallet jacks
Pallet-wrapping equipment
Banding equipment
Warehouse carts and other material-handling equipment
Previous forklift experience is preferred due to the amount of material movement involved in this position.
Inventory & Material Responsibilities
Assist with warehouse inventory organization
Move materials to designated warehouse locations
Help maintain accurate material locations
Identify and report incorrect or damaged materials
Support efficient material flow throughout the facility
Maintain organized storage and staging areas
Assist with additional inventory activities as needed

Propane forklift experience
Electric forklift experience

Steel or industrial material-handling experience
Pallet-building experience
Shipping preparation experience
Inventory control experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a 10-hour shift
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to safely load, unload, and move warehouse materials
Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts throughout the workday
Comfortable performing repetitive and physically active warehouse work
Ability to safely work around forklifts, steel, pallets, and material-handling equipment while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment
Facility may become extremely hot during the summer and cold during the winter
Regular work around steel, forklifts, pallet jacks, shipping equipment, and warehouse materials
Physically active position involving frequent material movement and order preparation
Regular four-day MondayThursday schedule
Up to 8 hours of Friday overtime may be required as needed
Strong emphasis on safety, order accuracy, productivity, and dependable attendance
