If you thrive on accuracy, timelines, and coordination, this Warehouse Shipping & OTIF Compliance Specialist role puts you at the center of inbound/outbound flow, inventory integrity, shipment scheduling, routing, documentation, and customer standards. You’ll partner with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure orders leave right—and right on time.
What You'll Own
Purchase Orders: Receive and process customer POs manually and through EDI.
Inventory Accuracy: Enter and validate data in WMS; reconcile on-hand counts with packing slips and resolve discrepancies.
Scheduling: Book shipments via customer portals and dock scheduling software.
Daily Coordination: Align shipping and receiving activities with the Warehouse Supervisor.
Documentation: Prepare precise paperwork and electronic bills of lading; audit picks to ensure orders and ship quantities match.
Gatekeeper: Make the final Go/No-Go call on freight release.
Compliance: File tickets to support “On Time/In Full” (OTIF) requirements.
Records: Maintain comprehensive logs, reports, and the complete paper trail for shipping.
Issue Resolution: Communicate transit challenges promptly and propose solutions.
How You’ll Work
Communicate frequently via email and in person with drivers and dispatchers
Enter and manage information in WMS/TMS
Share workload plans and updates with management and warehouse teams
Operate within a blended office/warehouse environment with forklift, pedestrian, and tractor-trailer activity
Adhere to ISO and OSHA standards
Work in conditions with temperature fluctuations typical of warehouses/manufacturing
Perform regular walking and standing and lift up to 30 lbs
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED; and/or 2+ years of related experience
Knowledge of shipping/receiving practices, warehouse operations, and transportation/trucking
Strong typing, communication, reading, and writing skills
Experience with warehouse software (WMS/TMS)
Bonus exposure: Retail Link (Transportation 2.0), NetSuite, Prime, or Opendock
Upbeat, personable approach that motivates teams
Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced setting and calmly handle difficult or irate customers
Cross-functional coordination skills and comfort prioritizing under tight deadlines
Problem-solving ability and adaptability to shifting priorities
Dedication to safety and compliance
Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods
Daily in-person attendance required
