Prime Response, Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist to support logistics and warehouse operations for the U.S. Coast Guard Special Missions Training Center at Camp Lejeune. This role combines hands-on warehousing, inventory control, shipping and receiving, equipment maintenance coordination, and administrative support.
Location: Camp Lejeune, North Carolina
Pay:$20.50 per hour, above the applicable Service Contract Act minimum.
Additional Compensation: Health & Welfare (H&W) Benefit of $5.42/hour is provided separately from your hourly wage and is used to help cover the cost of the benefits you elect, such as medical, dental, and vision coverage. Any unused H&W funds may be paid to you as additional compensation in accordance with applicable Service Contract Act requirements and company benefit plan rules.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Receive, inspect, store, organize, and prepare materials and equipment for shipment.
- Verify incoming and outgoing items against bills of lading, manifests, invoices, receiving documents, and other records.
- Identify and report shipment discrepancies, damaged goods, missing equipment, and material deterioration.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventories of warehouse equipment and training kits.
- Store, stack, palletize, rearrange, and route materials according to established storage procedures.
- Schedule the shipment and return of training equipment to and from training locations.
- Locate and track late or missing training equipment.
- Properly package, label, document, and load outgoing shipments.
- Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving records, including manifests and bills of lading.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment using established maintenance procedures.
- Operate hand trucks, power trucks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
- Deliver supplies using a government vehicle or forklift within the training center, Camp Lejeune, and surrounding areas.
- Enter, track, and manage procurement requests using the Coast Guard purchasing and ordering system.
- Provide additional logistics and warehouse support as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of relevant warehouse, logistics, shipping, or receiving experience.
- Experience supporting warehouse management and shipping and receiving operations.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently and participate in two-person team lifts of up to 145 pounds.
- Valid state driver’s license with no restrictions that would prevent the safe operation of a vehicle.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification within one month of employment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Ability to clearly read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with government customers, contract employees, and corporate personnel.
Security and Access Requirements
The selected candidate must successfully complete required background and fingerprint checks and remain eligible for military installation access. The position also requires the ability to obtain and maintain applicable access credentials, including a Common Access Card, and to complete required security briefings and nondisclosure documentation.
