Warehouse Specialist

Our Construction Equipment Group is currently seeking a full-time Warehouse Specialist for our Davie, FL branch. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

Support the parts sales teamPull, package and ship partsEnsure all paperwork related to deliveries are complete and correctPick up items from vendors or transfer items between Alta facilitiesCheck in, unpack and put away partsPick, package and process parts for deliveries via shipping vendorsCheck order accuracy before each deliveryMaintain department order and cleanlinessAssist in physical inventory countsIncorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activitiesPerforms other duties as assignedConsistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time

Qualifications:

Previous warehouse experienceHigh school diploma/GEDHigh level of accuracyAbility to interface with customers in a professional and courteous mannerComputer programs - shipping software such as UPS Worldwide, DHL and FedExLanguage Skills- Basic: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills- Basic: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Reasoning Ability- Basic: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use hands; Frequently will stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, talk/hear; Occasionally will climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Vision: To see both close and at a distance, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and see colorLift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 70 pounds

Work Environment: Occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions.
