CHENEGA BASE & LOGISTICS SERVICES, LLC

The Warehouse Specialist will verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damage, routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment''s storage plan and Installation Logistics Systems.
Work involves most of the following: Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
May operate hand and power trucks (Forklifts) in performing warehousing duties.
Perform all duties in an effective and efficient manner.
Maintain equipment used daily and cleans work areas to maintain a safe work environment.
Ensure that all tasks are performed safely. Wearing safety items of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) e.g. gloves, safety shoes, protective eyewear, hearing protection, and other items such as aprons or outerwear as appropriate.
Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials.
Exam stored materials and report deterioration and damage.
Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.
Receive, identify, and securely store hazardous materials in designated facility zones.
Utilize computerized inventory systems (e.g., GCSS-Army or activity databases)
Package, load, and unload hazardous materials for transport between storage areas, shops, and primary disposal sites.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Minimum six (6) months of experience in supply chain, warehouse logistics, or hazardous material handling.
OSHA Hazardous Communication Certification
RCRA Hazardous Waste Handling Certification
Environmental Course Certification
DOD Hazardous Material/Hazardous Waste Handler Course Certification
Hazardous Waste Central Accumulation Area (CAA) Training Certification
Forklift Certification
40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to follow oral and written directions
Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, bend, squat, and reach as required to work on equipment.
Ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions when necessary.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
