Technica is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for the 2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm for work at the DLA Distribution Center in Tracy, CA.
Work involves most of the following:
- Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents
- Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
- Routing materials to prescribed storage locations
- Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods
- Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials
- Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage
- Constructing and repairing boxes, pallets, wood bracing to be used in shipping and storage, as needed.
- Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
Requirements:
- This worker will be trained and licensed on the operation of hand or power trucks and MHE for performing warehousing duties
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, snow, and sleet
- Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must have a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, and other established guidelines
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Must be willing to be trained to operate a forklift and stock selector - being lifted in the air 30 feet and must meet the 300 lb limit of the equipment (includes the safety harness)
- Must meet the government facility base access requirements
