Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor with a strong background in shipping and receiving operations to lead daily warehouse activities and ensure efficient, accurate inventory management. This role is responsible for supervising staff, maintaining workflow processes, coordinating with vendors, and leveraging WMS/SAP systems to support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards
- Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse personnel to achieve productivity and performance goals
- Conduct employee performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans when needed
- Manage and maintain inventory accuracy using WMS/SAP systems
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling and documentation
- Liaise with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to resolve issues and optimize logistics processes
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Analyze operational data and prepare reports using advanced Excel skills
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and control costs
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Hands-on experience with WMS and SAP inventory systems
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (reporting, analysis, data management)
- Proven ability to manage teams, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience working with vendors and third-party logistics providers
Preferred Skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Experience implementing process improvements or efficiency initiatives
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices
