Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, including incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory coordination, and team supervision. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient logistics, accurate recordkeeping, and a safe, organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of materials 
• Review shipping notices, invoices, bills of lading, and orders to determine priorities and shipping methods 
• Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff, including assigning work and evaluating performance 
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in all warehouse and returnable areas 
• Conduct daily safety walkthroughs and enforce safety procedures 
• Coordinate transportation to service locations and manage off-site warehouse operations 
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Participate in safety, 5S, and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations 
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and logistics processes

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds 
• Regular use of hands for handling materials and operating equipment 
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting 

Work Environment

• Warehouse and dock environments with varying conditions
• Requires adherence to safety protocols and housekeeping standards
