A well-established logistics and freight handling company is seeking a highly experienced Warehouse Supervisor to assist Manager with daily operations at a busy crossdock facility. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of freight while maintaining operational excellence and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all Crossdock terminal operations, including inbound and outbound freight flow, staffing, and scheduling.
Supervise and lead a team of dockworkers, drivers, and administrative staff.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement processes to improve productivity and minimize downtime.
Monitor freight integrity, damage control, and proper documentation.
Coordinate with dispatch and transportation teams to meet delivery timelines.
Conduct regular facility audits and safety meetings.
Train, and evaluate terminal staff including 1099 contractors and W2 employees.
This is a night time shift starting at 6pm -3am Monday - Friday.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in terminal or dock operations Supervision.
Proven leadership skills in a high-volume freight handling environment.
Strong knowledge of crossdock operations, LTL shipping, and freight flow processes preferred
Familiarity with DOT regulations and OSHA compliance.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be able to utilize a forklift.
