At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Warehouse Supervisor Day/Night Relief based in Mt. Crawford, Virginia!
Shift Coverage and Rotation Schedule
The candidate will provide coverage for both day shift and night shift openings as needed, including during periods of vacation, staffing vacancies, training requirements, or other operational needs.
The primary schedule will follow a monthly rotation:
- Month 1: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Day Shift)
- Month 2: Monday through Friday, 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM (Night Shift)
This rotation may be adjusted as necessary to meet business needs or to provide additional coverage
Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position:
- Directs plant warehouse and logistic activities including warehousing, transportation and off sight storage locations.
- Manages the daily shipping and receiving activities for finished goods inventory.
- Oversee local transportation functions, ensuring timely shipping and delivery to the customer.
- Monitor order inventory to prevent product shortages and develop processes to eliminate potential shorts.
- Prepare and maintain departmental budgets.
- Analyze warehouse practices to develop new procedures to reduce expenses, improve inventory accuracy, efficiency and service.
- Manage, train and direct the activities of all warehouse / logistics personnel.
- Maintain a safe working environment and support safety training/work practices for all associates.
- Manage all warehouse activities of an outside storage location to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance with Company policy. In addition, negotiate rates and services that are competitive and appropriate to accomplish Company goals.
- Administer the integrity of finished goods inventory at the plant and at outside storage locations.
- Perform other statistical analysis, capital improvement projects and duties as developed and assigned.
- Ensures department compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Maintains and verifies department employee timesheets for payroll processing.
- Interacts with other facilities to increase our shipping efficiencies while reducing costs.
- Own respective QMS standard and execute all processes, including all documentation specification requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.

Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE). As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.
Compensation & Benefits:

The base compensation range for this position is $67,000- $96,000.00 per year commensurate with experience.
