Under direction from the Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing the daily activity of shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Management of Inbound and Outbound activitiesAssigning workload and equipment to staffEmployee daily schedule (breaks & departure)Reconciling shipments in and out of the facilityProcessing all warehouse documentsEmployee training and ongoing evaluation of employee competenciesCoaching and mentoring employees in a professional mannerAbility to work weekends and rotating shifts (days, nights)Assist Customer Service where necessary to help facilitate orders for waiting customerReview all orders to make sure lead times are being adhered to.Assign staff to meet current and future customer demand.Oversee receiving to ensure inbound products are being received properly.Ensure all merchandise is rotated as FIFO, organized, off floor, in selling condition.Ensure all warehouse lighting, refrigeration equipment, freezer and cooler door seals are in proper and good working condition.Ensure all warehouse areas, walls, floors, restrooms, freezer, and coolers are clean and organized.Ensure all dock bay doors are operating correctly.Ensure all material handling equipment is working properly and safely. Keep all equipment maintained with maintenance schedules.Keep all warehouse supplies [pallet wrap, tape, markers, pallet stickers, etc] in stock.Document and inform the Warehouse Manager of any observed irregularities of the above items.Other duties are assigned by management. What Were Looking For: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Good Leadership skills; a track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing a team environment.Ability to multi-task at a high level and keep organizedKnowledge of general warehouse operationsStrong attention to detail and high accuracy in all areas of workAbility to make decisions independentlyHigh level of reliability and dependability What Were Looking For: Education & Experience Prior experience with a Warehouse Management System and good technical skillsSupervisory or management responsibilities in a warehouse environment; 1-3 yearsExperience with safety procedures in a warehouse environmentSuccessfully complete criminal background check - no felonies in last 5 yearsMust be 18 years of age or older Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has direct Supervisory responsibility of an assigned Warehouse team.This position guides the work of others. Organizes, set priorities, schedules and reviews work. Limited responsibility to recommend hiring and terminations, review performance or make pay decisions. This position receives Supervision from the Warehouse Manager. In some cases, Manager outlines steps involved in completing assignments, or standard procedures are available to enable the employee to work in a routine fashion. The end results of this work are sometimes checked. Physical Demands & Work Environment: Ability to reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 50 lbs.Regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, hear and reach with hands and arms.Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, and turn in a safe manner.Exhibit manual dexterity and good hand/eye coordination to move freight.Work in a freezer and cooler environments.Warehouse environment, walking and riding on equipment.Constant temperature changes involving outside weather, refrigerated and freezer warehouse.This is an active warehouse environment with foot and equipment traffic.
