Position Overview

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), Warehouse Supervisors keep operations moving, organizing workflow, supporting the team, and ensuring every job gets done right. From managing daily tasks to developing employees, you’ll play a hands-on role in driving efficiency and growth.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Maintenance
  • Manage all warehouse activities in support of operations including maintenance of building and grounds, receiving, storing, picking, delivering, shipping materials, and inside/outside sales support
  • Maintain the appearance of the warehouse in a safe and orderly manner
  • Maintain a full understanding of all products by identification, weight, and size
  • Verify truck loads for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain a basic knowledge of trucks, forklifts, and other equipment to determine necessary repairs
  • Maintain overall knowledge of team activities and identify and take corrective action for problem areas
  • Maintain a high level of customer focus
 
Safety
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
  • Use proper lifting techniques
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes, and clothing
 
Leadership & Supervision
  • Supervise direct reports to ensure warehouse duties and responsibilities are completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with company standards
 
Customer Service & Sales
  • Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships
  • Maintain professional and courteous contact with customers before, during, and after a sale
 
Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support branch and corporate objectives
 
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience and/or training
  • Preferred building supply warehouse and supervisory experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of forklift operation

Compensation

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
