The Warehouse Supervisor oversees warehouse operations and employees to achieve safety, quality, productivity, responsiveness, and cost objectives across assigned departments. This role leads a fast-paced parts distribution environment, ensuring accurate inventory flow, effective shipping and receiving, and consistent adherence to operational standards and workplace organization.
ResponsibilitiesThis role offers a significant opportunity to build a long-term career within a large, evolving parts distribution network that supports a national footprint of dealerships and manufacturing facilities. Contract supervisors often receive early consideration for direct-hire openings, and those open to relocation can access a broad range of opportunities across multiple distribution centers and plants. The parts business is expanding rapidly, driven by new vehicle launches and the transition to electric vehicles, creating ongoing growth, advancement potential, and exposure to modern automotive and distribution practices.
Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a 404,000 square foot parts distribution warehouse with roughly 100 employees working across two shifts. This role is on second shift, typically 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with the expectation of flexibility for extended hours. Overtime is common, and workweeks can range from 6–7 days with 10–12 hour shifts, depending on business needs. First shift focuses on inbound shipments and may work Saturdays and Sundays, while second shift primarily manages outbound shipping to dealerships and third-party auto parts stores and generally does not work weekends. The environment is fast-paced and metrics-driven, with daily management huddles centered on SPQRC (Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost), regular production checks every two hours, and continuous monitoring of employee performance and station boards. Business casual attire is required, with no frayed, ripped, or torn clothing and no open-toe shoes. All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and must be worn at all times on the plant floor, and earbuds are not permitted in production areas. Technology tools such as laptops, cell phones, timekeeping systems, and performance boards are used routinely to manage operations, approve timecards, and monitor production. The facility emphasizes safety, organization, and teamwork while supporting a high-volume, time-sensitive distribution operation.
