Warehouse Supervisor – 1st Shift (Weekends Required) Location: East Side of Indianapolis (near Shadeland Ave & English Ave) Schedule: 1st Shift | 5:30 AM – 3:00 PM Pay: $61,800 annually Employment Type: Full-Time | Union Environment Important Schedule & Job RequirementsThis position requires a consistent weekend schedule. Work 5 days per week, including BOTH Saturday and Sunday (non-negotiable)
Receive two consecutive weekday days off
Work most holidays (facility closes only on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day)
Steel-toe or composite-toe footwear is required
Attendance and punctuality are critical
Union environment (prior union experience preferred, not required)
Position OverviewWe are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead day-to-day warehouse operations on the 1st shift. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong people skills, warehouse operations experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unionized environment.Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily warehouse operations to meet productivity, safety, and quality goals
Lead, coach, and support warehouse associates in a union environment
Conduct regular floor walks to monitor operations, address concerns, and answer employee questions
Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, inventory control, and customer service standards
Schedule and lead safety meetings
Provide performance feedback, coaching, training, and assist with performance reviews and discipline
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow
Ensure proper use of warehouse equipment and maintain facility security
Enforce company policies and all federal, state, and local regulations
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
3+ years of warehouse or logistics experience
Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Union experience a plus
Working knowledge of warehouse operations and WMS systems
