We are seeking a new team player to fill our shipping supervisor role available at our La Vergne TN, location Benefit Package Offered: Employee offered standard company benefit package to include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, accidental death benefits, and eligibility to participate in a safe harbor 401(k) plan.

Position Summary: Supervise, coordinate, and oversee the logistics operations and provide coaching, development and training to the staff members

Position Description

. Direct inbound and outbound logistics operations

· Responsibility over transportation, receiving, shipping, warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality management

· Champion continuous improvement by measuring KPI's and implementing lean tools to improve tact time

· Supervise the hourly workers and ensure efficient movement of material

· Set, communicate, and manage the day-to-day operational objectives for the team and ensure hourly metrics are met

· Ensure regulatory compliance and practices and procedures are followed by direct reports

· Conduct inventory control analysis and classification

Position Requirements

· 3-7 years of experience in a logistics role is required

· Experience in manufacturing, metals, or stamping is required (minimum 3 years)

· Experience leading a team or in a supervisory/managerial role (minimum 3 years)

· An energetic and enthusiastic personality

· Experience working with SAP or similar ERP experience

· Strong analytic, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Work Environment: Works in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and frequent computer usage. Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
