Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

The Warehouse supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations in a food manufacturing environment; ensuring the safe, and efficient handling of materials and finished products. This role is responsible for leading the warehouse personnel, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production needs, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards such as HACCP, GMP, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of finished goods.
• Ensure proper handling and storage conditions (e.g., temperature control, FIFO/FEFO practices).
• Maintain compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP, GMP, and sanitation protocols.
• Coordinate timely delivery of raw materials to production and shipment of finished goods.
• Maintain a high percentage of on-time delivery to customers based on customer POs and proper shipping methods.
• Coordinate and be responsible for shipping of products in a timely manner for both customer shipping contractors and company preferred shipping companies through setting of appointments and availability of all documentation at the time of pick up.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, including lot tracking and traceability.
• Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Train and supervise warehouse staff on safety, food handling, and operational procedures.
• Oversee cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas, including pest control and sanitation schedules.
• Manage documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to damaged goods, contamination risks, or delays.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of warehouse experience in food manufacturing or a regulated environment preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, FDA/USDA regulations) preferred.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems preferred.
• Degree or experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field a plus!
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Working Conditions

• Work in warehouse environments that may include refrigerated or freezer areas
• Exposure to food products, cleaning chemicals, and warehouse equipment
• Physical activity including lifting, standing, and operating forklifts

Schedule:

• Monday to Fridays, some weekends as needed.
• 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation

• Expected annual compensation including bonuses is $85,000-$90,000 with growth potential.
