Description
Title: Warehouse Supervisor Reports to: Manager of Production Salary: $38,000 - $45,000 Employment Status: Full-time, non-exempt
The Role: This role combines traditional warehouse supervision with vocational rehabilitation responsibilities. The supervisor manages day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, and staff productivity, while also facilitating vocational training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The position ensures a safe, efficient, and supportive work environment that promotes skill development and successful job placement.
Essential Functions
Warehouse Operations
Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, sorting, picking, and dispatching goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Maintain inventory levels through regular physical counts and reconciliation with inventory systems
Enforce safety standards and conduct monthly safety meetings to ensure compliance with company and regulatory guidelines
Train, mentor, and supervise warehouse staff, providing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, reporting to management on productivity and efficiency
Vocation Rehabilitation
Supervise and support individuals with disabilities participating in vocational rehabilitation programs within the warehouse setting
Plan and coordinate training programs tailored to the abilities and needs of participants, including on-the-job skill development
Provide guidance, counseling, and support to help participants adjust to work responsibilities and develop employable skills
Collaborate with public and private organizations, advocacy groups, and employers to create employment opportunities and community
Monitor participant progress, adjust training plans as needed, and ensure compliance with federal and state vocational rehabilitation regulations
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalency.
Experience
Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management, including inventory control, staff supervision, and operational oversight
Knowledge of vocational rehabilitation principles, training methods, and employment support for individuals with disabilities
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage both warehouse staff and program participants
Monitor participant progress, adjust training plans as needed, and ensure compliance with federal and state vocational rehabilitation regulations
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing operational and program needs
Familiarity with safety regulations, warehouse management systems, and productivity tracking tools
