The Warehouse Associate – Temporary Repack Operations is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely handling of service parts, with a primary focus on repackaging activities. This role supports the movement of materials into service-ready packaging, ensuring outbound quality standards are met while maintaining compliance with all safety, operational, and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform made-in-house (MIH) repack operations, including the repackaging of body, plastics, and propulsion parts into service-ready packaging.
- Utilize gantry cranes, lift-assist equipment, and other material handling tools to package propulsion components into ship-ready crates.
- Ensure outbound shipping quality by following established packaging standards, pallet safety guidelines, and damage-prevention procedures, including proper pallet stacking and use of protective materials.
- Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements, including proper lifting techniques and consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow Standard Work Sheets (SWS), operating procedures, and training checklists to ensure consistency and quality in all repack operations.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas through the application of 5S principles and proactive waste identification.
- Support inventory movement, material handling, and other warehouse-related tasks as assigned.
- Contribute to a safe, efficient, and productive warehouse environment while meeting operational goals and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, packaging, logistics, or manufacturing environment; automotive industry experience is a plus.
- Understanding of and commitment to PPE and workplace safety requirements.
- Ability to safely operate gantry cranes, lift-assist equipment, or similar material handling tools.
- Basic computer skills and ability to utilize warehouse systems and documentation.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow safety rules, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8–12 hours per shift.
- Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent use of hands and arms to move cumbersome or irregularly shaped materials.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and reach while handling materials and retrieving inventory.
- Ability to work in warehouse environments that may include dust, elevated noise levels, and varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Flexibility to work overtime, including occasional weekends, based on business needs.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early arrivals, extended shifts, or schedule adjustments as required.
- Ability to rotate between different warehouse work areas or job assignments.
- Commitment to maintaining attendance, reliability, and productivity in a fast-paced operational environment.
