Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, distribution, and fleet coordination. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse while supporting scheduling, deliveries, and inventory management. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead and train warehouse staff, safeguard inventory, and collaborate with internal teams to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, warehousing, and distribution
Lead, train, and support warehouse staff; manage performance and productivity
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility at all times
Develop and enforce warehouse procedures and workflows
Inventory & Logistics
Monitor and control inventory through regular physical counts and system reconciliation
Verify accuracy of orders, ensuring correct parts and materials are picked, staged, and delivered
Coordinate deliveries, pickups, returns, and interdepartmental logistics
Manage warranty returns, vendor credits, and defective materials processing
Fleet & Equipment
Assist with fleet oversight, including vehicle scheduling, inspections, and maintenance tracking
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely and effectively
Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA standards and internal safety policies
Train employees on safe warehouse practices
Maintain proper storage and documentation for regulated materials (including refrigerants and chemicals)
Implement and monitor warehouse security procedures
Facility Maintenance
Oversee daily/weekly warehouse upkeep tasks, including:
Scrap runs as needed
Yard maintenance (more frequent during seasonal needs)
Proper storage of tarps and materials
Dumpster maintenance and cleanliness
Qualifications
3+ years of warehouse experience, with prior supervisory or leadership experience required
Experience in construction, HVAC/R, or related industry preferred
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and distribution processes
Proficiency with warehouse management systems and inventory software
Ability to read and interpret work orders, purchase orders, and vendor documentation
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred but not required)
Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Requirements & Work Environment
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting for extended periods
Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely
Full range of motion and manual dexterity required
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
