Description

Assemblix Staffing is currently hiring for a morning shift Prodution Supervisor for the Plainfield, IN area. This is a temp-to-hire position. Pay ranges from $18.50 - $20.50 and is paid out weekly.

Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor will work with other key members of facility management to assure production goals are met based on assigned department areas. In addition, the Production Supervisor will lead assigned personnel in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-organized workplace to achieve maximum efficiency and minimize injuries.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Lead personnel in properly receiving material within assigned areas.
  • Helps schedule repairs and maintenance of equipment or machinery within assigned area
  • Reviews production and quality reports to plan/modify activities.
  • Ensures personnel are wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and properly dressed for job duties.
  • Ensures inventory of necessary tools and supplies are being monitored for production such as boxes and hammers.
  • Notify EH&S of any safety concerns and violations, PPE defects or need for replacement of safety equipment.
  • Train and oversee assigned team members in properly completing assigned job duties.
  • Helps ensure maximum inventory accuracy and efficiency to ensure production goals are achieved.
  • Responsible for achieving optimum labor, and least amount of overhead and material costs within assigned areas.
  • Helps coordinate work schedules based on demands set forth.
  • Ensures inventory and department functions at the facility are operating at levels that meet customers' needs.
  • Ensures standards of quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained for max production within assigned areas.
  • Ensures fixed assets are preserved within assigned areas.
  • Monitors, and reports on operating costs within assigned areas.
  • Informs management on labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, etc. within assigned areas
  • Supervise assigned areas budget and expenses, effectively.
  • Communicate policy and program changes to assigned personnel.
  • Helps review and approve time cards of assigned personnel
  • Help in conducting ongoing training and re-training of personnel on ERI procedures, policies, and plans.
  • Assist team in end of the month inventory counts
  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relations with personnel.
  • Ensure assigned personnel are in cohesion on reaching assigned goals.
  • Help Loss Prevention maintains security measures throughout the assigned areas related to sensitive information and theft.
  • Ensure various compliance-based checklist are being completed and issues being reported to adhere to all certification standards and regulations
  • Ensure housekeeping around area to maintain safety and cleanliness
  • Report any ideas for efficiency and continuous improvement to facility leadership.
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations and standards.

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience required
  • 1-2 years of supervisor work experience preferred
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Good verbal and communivation skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Organized and able to handle and prioritize multiple initiatives at once
  • Be professional and have a positive attitude
