Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Warehouse Team Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient distribution, inventory accuracy, and team productivity. In this role, you will lead a team of warehouse associates, coordinate logistics activities, and implement process improvements to optimize workflow. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, inventory control, and materials handling will drive operational excellence. Responsibilities
Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of engagement and productivity.
Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation using warehouse management systems such as AS400 or equivalent platforms.
Coordinate logistics operations including warehouse distribution, 3PL partnerships, and transportation scheduling to meet delivery deadlines.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety compliance (OSHA standards), and materials handling procedures.
Oversee the operation of forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely and effectively during heavy lifting and materials movement.
Maintain accurate shipping & receiving records, ensure proper documentation for all inbound and outbound shipments, and monitor inventory control measures.
Qualifications
Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision within a fast-paced distribution environment.
Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse distribution processes, logistics, and materials handling techniques.
Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or similar platforms.
Valid forklift certification and mechanical knowledge for safe operation of equipment.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to warehousing operations.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively.
Experience with e-commerce fulfillment processes and 3PL logistics is highly desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands associated with warehouse tasks.
