Description
A Warehouse Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse by efficiently managing the flow of goods in and out, with both physical and systematical transactions. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse processes and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process incoming and outgoing shipments using existing warehouse management processes and systems.
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and/or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
- Palletizing, crate building, labelling, scheduling and timing shipments.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of all items to prevent damage.
- Assist in maximum space utilization and efficiency in the warehouse.
- Ensure all products are stored in a logical, organized and easily accessible manner.
- Utilize systems for inventory management and tracking shipments.
- Freight carrier interaction
- Collaborate with team members to optimize shipping and receiving processes and improve efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate processes and procedures to identify ways for improvement and cost reduction.
- Foster a team-oriented, organized, and safety-focused environment.
- Assists with other duties as assigned and/or any other tasks as assigned by Leadership.
Requirements
- Experience with loading and unloading freight efficiently.
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes.
- Knowledge of software for inventory management is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts and reach trucks safely within a warehouse setting.
- Strong order picking skills to ensure accuracy in fulfilling customer orders.
- Basic math skills for handling inventory counts and shipment calculations.
- Able to read and decipher a tape measure.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations.

- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in warehouse, shipping and inventory processing.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
