Hands-On Opportunity in Warehouse Operations

Our fast-paced industrial client located near Clifton Park is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Warehouse Technician to join its team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is interested in combining mechanical assembly, product testing, troubleshooting, inventory management, and general warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and processes. Experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, warehouse operations, or industrial environments is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Assembly & Testing
  • Assemble mechanical components, equipment, and systems according to engineering drawings, blueprints, technical schematics, and assembly instructions
  • Follow established procedures and technical documentation to ensure accurate assembly
  • Perform testing and inspection of completed products
  • Conduct calibration, diagnostics, pressure testing, and leak testing as required
  • Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or potential quality issues
  • Verify that completed products meet established specifications and quality standards
Warehouse & Inventory Operations
  • Inspect incoming materials and completed components for quality, damage, and quantity
  • Maintain accurate inventory of tools, parts, components, and materials used during assembly operations
  • Organize and properly store equipment and components
  • Track materials and maintain accurate production and inventory records
  • Assist with the movement of materials throughout the facility
  • Operate and learn various warehouse equipment and tools
Repair & Troubleshooting
  • Inspect customer-returned products and equipment
  • Troubleshoot functional and cosmetic issues
  • Perform repairs or adjustments when appropriate
  • Document repairs, testing, and calibration activities accurately
  • Communicate issues requiring additional technical support or escalation
Documentation & Production Support
  • Maintain real-time records related to:
    • Repairs
    • Calibrations
    • Testing
    • Inventory
    • Production status
  • Utilize computer systems and company software to enter and update information
  • Learn and follow internal processes and documentation requirements
Safety & Teamwork
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in safety programs and training
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
  • Use tools and equipment safely and appropriately
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and operational goals
  • Contribute to a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and equipment-related issues
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft 365
  • Ability to learn new software and company-specific systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
  • Mechanical assembly
  • Manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Warehouse operations
  • Forklifts
  • Overhead cranes
  • Rigging
  • Material handling equipment
  • Mechanical testing and calibration
  • Repair and troubleshooting of industrial equipment
Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to:
  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Work with tools and equipment for extended periods
  • Work overhead when required
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks safely
  • Work in an industrial and warehouse environment
