Warehouse Technician (Forklift Operator) - 2nd Shift

Catallia Mexican Foods is looking for an expierienced Warehouse Technician Sit- Down Forklift Operator with expertise in food manufacturing to join our team! Shift: 2nd 3:00p.m. - 11:30 p.m. To meet operational needs, occasional biweekly Saturday overtime willl be part of our standard schedule

Position Overview: This is a hands-on position and will require that the individual be responsible for all aspects of the shipping, receiving and warehousing functions within the plant. This individual will be responsible for contributing to a consistent, safe, and productive work environment through participation in corporate programs. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
  • Works with production to ensure materials are available in a timely manner.
  • Visually inspects and counts inbound loads to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Confirms that the documentation for incoming shipments is in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Loads and accurately documents outbound shipments of finished product.
  • Rotates inventory according to first in, first out guidelines.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of dock and storage areas.
  • Interact with a wide variety of drivers, delivery personnel and contractors.
  • Previous experience in order picking, shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks.
  • Knowledge and experience in driving electric forklift - sit-down only.
  • Operation of electric pallet jack.
General Responsibilities:
  • Adheres to operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in Food Safety and Food Defense related activities.
  • Perform additional duties as directed.
Education & Experience:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 2 years' experience in warehouse operations (order picking, shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks)
  • Experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is a plus.
Specific Competencies:
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to become forklift certified.
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
  • English language proficiency, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately and completely.
  • Ability to identify problems and react appropriately.
