JOB SUMMARY The Warehouse Technician performs the various duties necessary to operate the warehouse and related equipment in a manner which will contribute to safe, efficient operation of the mine, and effective and timely maintenance of equipment, utilizing computerized materials system while optimizing inventory investment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Meet the physical demands of the position as defined in the Physical Demands Analysis Operate forklift and related equipment in a safe and productive manner Responsible for inventory control, material cycle counts and all phases of warehouse duties including documenting transactions Assist in the identification and removal of excess and /or obsolete inventory as required Correctly identify all parts, materials and supplies and maintain system database accordingly Research and resolve problems, discrepancies with requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, etc. Receive materials, parts and supplies that are delivered to the distribution center by vendors Stock all items in the correct location Record and post all transactions in an accurate and timely manner Issue parts as required for repairs Assist supervisor in preparing reports or other projects as requested Able to work a rotating schedule After hours and weekend purchasing Maintain the schedule of the courier service to and from the mines sites, including any urgent and overweight/oversized orders. Maintain a clean and safe working environment inside and outside the warehouse Other assignments as requested Regular and predictable attendance Comply with Company drug and alcohol program QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY • Parts knowledge, materials and some purchasing/accounting knowledge • General knowledge of coal mining and maintenance • Good organizational skills • Able to operate forklift and overhead cranes safely • Courteous, professional and helpful attitude • Communication skills: written, oral and listening • Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision • Team oriented PREFERRED • Two (2) years warehouse experience (mining preferred) • Proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Office software and ERP applications QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY • Parts knowledge, materials and some purchasing/accounting knowledge • General knowledge of coal mining and maintenance • Good organizational skills • Able to operate forklift and overhead cranes safely • Courteous, professional and helpful attitude • Communication skills: written, oral and listening • Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision • Team oriented PREFERRED • Two (2) years warehouse experience (mining preferred) • Proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Office software and ERP applications YOU MUST REFERENCE WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN ON YOUR RESUME.
