Job Purpose

The Warehouse Trainer is responsible for the hands-on training of all new personnel and other warehouse employees. The Warehouse Trainer will be responsible for training on best practices and providing on-the-job training to employees. Also, this person will have the opportunity to participate in scout assignments across the network as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-job training to equipment operators and other warehouse employees. • Conducts training sessions for new hires and provides on-going hands-on training to warehouse pickers and employees. • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. • Well-versed in all warehouse functions. • Ability to plan and schedule tasks and handle multiple tasks at once. • Maintains all training records for required regulatory purposes and mandatory internally required instruction. • Performs work safely and in accordance with company and customer standards and safety regulations. • Report unsafe conditions or accidents to the appropriate personnel. • Understands various teaching methods and can provide constructive feedback while maintaining a positive rapport with employees. • Conducts all monthly safety refresher training. • Conducts all post-accident safety refresher training. • Must be willing to work off shifts as needed for training demands. • Will also operate as a forklift operator as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements

• Basic Knowledge of training techniques or job training. • Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED. • Education and/or experience required. • High School Diploma or general education diploma GED. • At least 6 months experience. • Language Skills: • Ability to read, analyze, and write. • Ability to effectively follow orders and respond to questions from management. • Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and speak English. • Physical Demands: • Must be able to occasionally reach, lift, and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Regularly works in an indoor office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion. • Frequently required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. • Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required. • Must have the ability to read and discern visual images with 2020 corrected vision. • Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones. • Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances. • Work Environment: • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. • The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
