Warehouse Utility & Driver
position Summary The Driver position is responsible for the delivery of products to the customers of DWF Wholesale Florists. This position is critical to DWF Wholesale Florists; the Driver position provides outstanding customer service, and makes efficient, accurate and safe deliveries of products which ultimately impacts the customer experience and the profitability of DWF Wholesale Florists. Responsibilities:
Ensures outstanding customer service. Delivers the correct product to customers safely. Observes all traffic regulations. Observes customer directed delivery instructions regarding parking, entrances, exits, etc. Prevents distracted driving (i.e. no cell phone use while driving, etc.). Provides feedback on the most efficient delivery routes. Collects proof of delivery signatures. Collects money on CODs. Returns signed proof of delivery signatures and cash collections to bookkeeper, daily. Notifies manager of delivery errors (i.e. short ships, damaged product, etc.), immediately. Directs customer service issues to manager. Maintains cleanliness of company vehicles. Reports on the status of vehicle maintenance.
Team:
Forms strong working relationships within various teams. Treats each individual with respect. Acts as an ambassador for DWF Wholesale Florists. Interacts with customers and team members in a friendly, professional manner. Maintains confidentiality of employee, customer and vendor information 100% of the time. Meets with supervisor on a weekly basis to review projects and outcomes. Brings issues and solutions to supervisor within 24 hours.
Skills & Qualifications
Excellent driving record that complies with insurance requirements. Must be 21 years of age or older, and pass an MVR and background screening. Customer centric, committed to supporting customers. Strong verbal communication and listening skills; ensures information is passed on to others who should be informed. Self-starter who works independently and in a team environment. Thrives in a fast-paced environment. Energetic and flexible. Maintains a calm, tactful and professional demeanor. Follows directions with focused attention. Uses best judgment under current driving conditions. Willing to learn. Withstands cold temperatures (32 degrees) for an extended period of time.

Working conditions
Constant to frequent standing and/or walking. Frequent need of lifting or carrying (up to 25 lbs.). Frequent periods of working inside a cooler with temperature ranging between 32 and 45 degrees. Extended hours during busy season.
