Unloads merchandise from delivery vehicles. Examines cases and packages for indication of damage or pilferage and points out discrepancies to supervisor. Checks type and quantity of merchandise received against receiving reports, transfer vouchers, truck load lists, direct delivery tickets, open-order invoices, VRR requisitions or other documentation according to specific instructions.
Unpacks, segregates and stores merchandise in bins, on floors or on shelves according to specific identifying information or supervisor''s instructions. May price-mark merchandise. Assembles and loads merchandise orders for delivery.
Maintains cleanliness and order in stockroom area.
Performs stock counts and assists in the conduct of interim and official inventories.
May receive and sign for VRR merchandise. Discrepancies noted in shipments are reported to higher graded warehouse worker or foreman.
Actively communicates/promotes the benefits of the Military Star credit card to customers in order to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty. Performs other duties as assigned.
