Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role focuses on efficiently receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. You will help maintain accurate inventory records, ensure items are stored safely and accessibly, and support overall warehouse operations by following established procedures and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming stock items, verify quantities, and accurately record data manually or using computer systems.
Count and verify stock items against documentation, and update inventory records to reflect accurate quantities.
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors as needed.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas.
Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to ensure proper identification and traceability.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and organizational standards.
Keep detailed records on the use and condition of stock and stock handling equipment, including any damage or issues observed.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage and promptly report any issues to supervisors.
Provide assistance, guidance, or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to support smooth daily operations.
Determine appropriate storage methods, identification systems, and stock locations based on turnover, environmental conditions, and the physical capabilities of the facilities.
Perform packing, shipping, and receiving tasks to support the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse.
Essential Skills
Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Clear written communication skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Analytical and problem-solving ability to investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve stock-related issues.
Ability to work as a team player and collaborate with other warehouse and stockroom staff.
High attention to detail to ensure accurate counting, labeling, and storage of inventory.
Knowledge of relevant warehouse equipment and stock handling tools.
Understanding of policies, procedures, and strategies that support effective security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
High school diploma or GED required.
5–7 years of warehouse, stockroom, or related experience required.
Experience with packing, shipping, and receiving activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with computer-based inventory systems or manual inventory tracking processes.
Ability to follow established safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Comfort working with labeling tools such as identification tags, stamps, and electric marking tools.
Capability to assess storage needs based on product turnover and environmental factors.

Work Environment
This position operates in a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard environment with a focus on packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory control. You will work Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., providing a consistent daytime to evening schedule. The role involves regular use of labeling tools, stock handling equipment, and either manual or computer-based inventory systems. The workplace emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and orderly storage of materials, with expectations to maintain organized shelves, storage areas, and equipment at all times.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
