    Description

    Full-Time Position (Day Shift) Hours:  Mon-Fri Position (No Weekends)
    Day One Benefits (including Health, Dental, Vision

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Load and unload trucks with a forklift.
    • Place and rotate items in inventory.
    • Participate in site inventory every other month.
    • Receive, unpack, check and store inventory and materials.
    • Fill requisitions and orders.
    • Pack and prepare products and materials for shipping.
    • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
    • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local ordinances affecting this position.
    • Ensure compliance with all Company policies and programs.
    • Maintain valid driver’s license and forklift certification to perform responsibilities.
    • Ensure timely processing of system information and proper documentation concerning inventory transactions (shipments, transfers, receipts, changes in cost/price, etc.).
    • Clean work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood, and plastic.
    • Assist Warehouse Manager and/or Dispatch Manager with special projects as needed.

    EDUCATION:
    • Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

    WORK EXPERIENCE:
    • One to two years previous warehouse and forklift driving experience.

    LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
    • Must have current and valid driver’s license
    • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    • Must be organized, self-motivated and able to work independently.
    • Ability to follow directions and strong willingness to learn.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Prolonged sitting and driving a forklift - must be able to climb, sit, hear (other forklift in motion), grasp, and steer a vehicle in motion.
    • Far and near visual acuity – must be able to see to drive forklift.
    • Load and unload trucks – must be able to lift minimum of 60 pounds regularly in order to load and unload products.
    • Mobility inside the warehouse – must be able to stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach, bend, pull, and grasp.
    • Communication – must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend
    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    • Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    • Work is routinely performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface, with frequent exposure to both internal and external environment.
    • Close proximity to moving forklift
    • Frequent exposure to severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
    • Frequent exposure to dust, and noise levels that exceed a normal threshold.

    PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
    • Must wear steel-toed boots.
    • Recommended (site specific): Safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, back support. Will be provided by Harrell’s upon request.
    • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in accordance with SDS recommendations.
