Job Description:
Shipper/Capper
Work Schedule: M - F 6:00 to 4:30, availability on Sat from 5 to 8 hours depending on volume.
Start Date: As soon as possible once fully cleared.
Length of assignment: 2 months with potential for extension and/or conversion.
Interviews required - will be scheduled through Beeline.
Supplier responsible for conducting physical/drug testing.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipper/Capper to support our aerospace fittings manufacturing operation. This is an entry-level, hands-on role focused on preparing finished products for shipment by protecting parts from damage and ensuring they meet packaging requirements.
This position requires a strong sense of urgency and the ability to maintain a consistent production pace in a fast-moving environment. While prior manufacturing or warehouse experience is helpful, we are willing to train candidates who bring a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
Prepare finished parts for shipment by:
Placing protective caps on threaded components
Bagging parts to prevent contamination or damage
Applying nets, caps, and layering materials for safe transportation
Ensure all products are protected from scratches, dents, or other damage prior to shipping
Maintain a steady workflow with a focus on speed and accuracy
Meet production expectations of approximately 360 500 pieces per hour
Inspect parts visually during handling to ensure basic quality standards are met
Follow all packaging instructions and customer requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Work closely with shipping and production teams to ensure timely order completion
Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Approximately 80% standing (chairs available as needed)
Fast-paced, repetitive work requiring consistent hand movement and focus
Ability to maintain productivity goals throughout the shift
Environment supports reasonable accommodations for certain restrictions
Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including:
Safety shoes (or temporary shoe covers provided on Day 1)
Eye protection
Standard shifts may vary; work may not always extend a full 8-hour day depending on production needs
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
No prior experience required training provided
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to work at a consistent pace in a high-volume environment
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work on feet for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or production environments
Experience working in high-speed, volume-based roles
Familiarity with basic quality awareness or product handling
