Warehouse Worker I

Job Summary:
Our client, a leading food processing company in the meat and poultry industry, is seeking a dependable Production Associate to join their Northwood, OH facility. This role supports general production operations within a poultry processing environment, including moving product between stations and assisting experienced team members with packing and processing tasks. This is a contract position offering hands-on training with opportunity for growth into more responsibilities over time.

Contract Duration: Approximately 995 total hours (contract assignment)
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:30 PM; overtime not to exceed 5 hours per week
Location: Northwood, OH (on-site)
Travel: None required

Key Responsibilities:
- Move meat carts between production and packing areas
- Pack turkey fillets from processing machines into branded boxes
- Assist master fish/meat cutters with various tasks
- Support operations in other areas of the seafood/poultry processing room as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of staging areas
- Follow all safety compliance and accident prevention procedures
- Perform physical tasks in a cold factory environment (approximately 32 F)

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in a cold environment
- Ability to function effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to safety compliance and accident prevention
- Steel toe boots/shoes required (must be above the ankle)
- Appropriate attire: layered clothing such as sweatpants, jeans, or hoodies

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in general production or manufacturing environments
- Experience assembling finished components into finished products
- Experience in a food processing or meat/poultry facility

About the Role:
This position begins with lighter duties as the contractor becomes acclimated to the facility and processes, with increased responsibilities assigned over time.
