Summary:
The Warehouse Colleague is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations and ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently. The role involves receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory management, and handling hazardous materials in accordance with standard operating procedures. The position requires a dependable, hardworking, safety-conscious team player who can work independently, maintain accuracy, and contribute to delivering products that support scientific, healthcare, and educational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Process customer orders daily to meet customer expectations.
- Work in one or more warehouse process areas, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures.
- Complete required documentation for hazardous materials.
- Ensure inventory is stored properly and securely.
- Maintain accurate warehouse operations and inventory handling.
- Work collaboratively with team members to support efficient warehouse operations.
- Contribute to a positive working experience for colleagues and customers.
- Follow established safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of general warehouse experience.
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks, such as order pickers.
- Experience handling hazardous materials or chemicals is preferred.
- Experience using computers and scanning equipment is preferred.
- Ability to stand and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
- Ability to perform walking, stooping, bending, and reaching activities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently when required.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Dependable and hardworking approach.
- Ability to read and write in English.
