Warehouse Worker

The warehouse worker plays a key role in ensuring that materials, equipment, and patient prescriptions are accurately received, stored, packed, and shipped from a clean, climate-controlled micro-fulfillment center. This position focuses on light-duty tasks such as scanning, picking, packing, and auditing inventory, while maintaining safety and organization throughout the facility.

• Receive incoming stock items and patient prescriptions, count quantities, and accurately record data manually or using computer systems.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards, ensuring correct placement and labeling.
• Verify inventory records by comparing system data to physical counts of stock, investigating discrepancies, and adjusting errors as needed.
• Store items in an orderly, accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas to support efficient operations.
• Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, RF scanners, or other labeling equipment to ensure accurate tracking.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to comply with safety regulations and support a tidy, organized work environment.
• Keep detailed records on the use and any damage of stock or stock-handling equipment to support accurate reporting and accountability.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, promptly reporting any damage or issues to supervisors.
• Provide assistance and direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to support team productivity and workflow.
• Perform lifting, scanning, picking, packing, auditing, shipping, and receiving tasks using RF scanners and other warehouse tools.
• Match labels accurately on prescriptions and packages to ensure correct patient orders and shipment details.
• Stand and work on your feet for up to 10-hour shifts while maintaining focus on quality, accuracy, and safety.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions, document inventory, and collaborate with team members.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability to identify inventory discrepancies, resolve issues, and maintain accurate stock records.
• Ability to work effectively as a team player while remaining detail-oriented in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies that support secure operations and protection of people, data, property, and inventory.
• Ability to lift and handle stock items safely as part of daily warehouse activities.
• Proficiency with RF scanners and basic computer systems used for inventory, scanning, and shipping tasks.
• Ability to match labels accurately on prescriptions and packages to prevent errors in patient orders.
• Capability to stand and work on feet for up to 10-hour shifts.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of warehouse, inventory, shipping and receiving, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with scanning, picking, packing, auditing, and inventory control in a warehouse or fulfillment environment.
• Background in shipping, packaging, and using RF scanners to manage inventory and orders.
• Comfort working in a structured environment with established safety and security procedures.
• Interest in developing skills that can lead to future opportunities in pharmacy technician roles.

The position is based in a clean, climate-controlled micro-fulfillment center designed for packing and shipping individual patient prescriptions. The environment is light duty compared to large, heavy-duty warehouses, focusing on repetitive but manageable tasks such as scanning, picking, packing, and labeling. Team members typically work on their feet for most of the shift and handle inventory using RF scanners and standard warehouse equipment. The facility operates multiple shifts, including a first shift from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. four days a week, and a second shift from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. five days a week. Employees are allowed to work with one earbud or ear pod to listen to music or podcasts while performing their duties, contributing to a comfortable and focused atmosphere. Dress expectations align with typical warehouse and fulfillment center standards, emphasizing safety, practicality, and readiness for light physical activity.

This is a Contract position based out of Liberty, MO.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
