As a warehouse worker, you will assist in the production line by taking lids off machines and packing them into boxes. The lids are lightweight and are used for coffee containers, cans, sprinkles, and more. This role requires a lot of bending and standing, but notheavy lifting. Comfortable shoes are necessary as you will be on your feet for the duration of the 12-hour shifts. The workstations are equipped with mats for added comfort. Shift differentials are available, and there's a pay increase once you transition to a permanent position.
Adhere to all Safety, GMP, and Food Safety requirements while maintaining cleanliness standards in your work area. Communicate safety, quality, and equipment issues with support personnel or activate the help board as needed. Monitor stacking and conveyance systems to prevent scrap from jam-ups. Meet scrap management requirements and segregate scrap properly. Recycle as much scrap as possible. Interact with QA Technicians to provide information and samples of defective products. Hold products you suspect are defective. Erect cartons and stack boxes onto skids as directed or to assist the Team Lead. Assist the Team Lead with labeling corrugate. Read and understand shop orders. Demonstrate good time management skills to accomplish all tasks. If certified as an OJT trainer in the molding department, train others to maintain the OJT trainer position. Cross-train on multiple machines. Perform other tasks as directed.

Candidates should have a reliable attendance record. Warehouse experience is preferred but not required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lees Summit, MO. The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $19.25/hr.
