Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Storekeeper to support warehouse operations by receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials and inventory. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and is not afraid of heights.
Job Description
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Store, label, organize, pick, pack, and issue inventory accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure outgoing shipments are properly packaged and include complete and accurate documentation.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and help resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Optimize warehouse storage locations to improve efficiency and safety.
- Support kitting, Kanban replenishment, and other material management initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shipping/receiving area.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment after completing required training and certification.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Shift: 2nd Shift - 1400-2230
- Required training: NEST and SIPP
Skills Required
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse or material handling experience.
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift and/or 3-way narrow aisle forklift.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and in environments where clothing may become dirty.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred skills:
- Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems.
- Inventory control experience.
- Experience operating a swing reach forklift.
Education
- Highschool diploma or GED
Pay Rate
- $21 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
