About the Role
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products within a distribution environment. This role requires regular use of an RF (Radio Frequency) scanner/RFI gun to accurately track inventory and ensure efficient warehouse workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
Inventory & Order Processing
- Use an RF/RFI gun to scan, track, and verify product movement throughout the warehouse.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders according to company standards.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
- Ensure correct labeling, documentation, and scanning of inbound and outbound shipments.
Receiving & Shipping
- Unload, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by staging, palletizing, wrapping, and labeling products.
- Maintain accurate records in warehouse management systems (WMS).
Material Handling
- Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, or other warehouse equipment as required.
- Organize stock in assigned warehouse locations, ensuring clean and efficient workspace flow.
- Replenish pick locations as necessary based on production and shipping needs.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and OSHA guidelines.
- Report damaged materials, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced distribution setting with frequent physical activity.
- Exposure to warehouse conditions including temperature variations, noise, and walking surfaces.
- May require overtime, weekend work, or shift flexibility.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
- Experience using an RF scanner/RFI gun strongly preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer or WMS system familiarity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
