This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.**Position Summary:**Under warehouse supervision, a sanitation worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary warehouse and office in a manner that is consistent with the company's standards of quality and safety, and productivity.We take pride in offering a competitive wage and great benefits including:**Schedule:**5:00am - 1:30pm Sunday - Thursday (work is complete) 5/8's5:00am - 1:30pm Tuesday - Saturday (work is complete) 5/8's**Pay:**$19.57/hr**Additional Benefits:**- Paid Time Off- Medical Insurance- Dental Insurance- Vision Insurance- Life Insurance- 401K- $125 Boot allowance after 90-days of employment- Associate Referral Program**Note- this is a Cold Storage facility: 28° F to 55° F****Major Responsibilities:**- Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces- Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable- Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis- Clean up any spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoup damages and determine if resalable or must be disposed of per food safety standards and requirements- Clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, restrooms, offices, etc.- Complete daily sanitation logs- Utilize chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment- Operate scrubber and pallet jacks if required to perform duties- Able to identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues- Complies with all safety requirements- Escalate issues timely and directly to supervisor- Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor**Qualifications:**- Previous sanitation and/or warehouse experience preferred.- High school diploma or equivalent preferred- Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required- Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required- Flexible to work overtime preferred- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job- Ability to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, and time management skills required- Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required- Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
