As a Warehouse & Yard Crewmember, you will execute operations processing and preparing product orders of engineered wood, structural components and other building materials for distribution to customers. Customer service, team-oriented focus is of utmost importance. Your work environment will consist of inside, and outside, work areas. Each type of loading and unloading requires strict attention to safety and order accuracy. This position requires well-defined detailed work, while producing repeatable and consistently accurate results. An ideal candidate will prefer a steady work style and enjoy executing clear objectives in a team focused environment.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently & accurately organize building materials using a variety of equipment
Attention to detail, with better-than-average accuracy in quality of the work
Follow daily operations schedule, with an ability to adjust to customer needs
Help to continually organize both warehouse and yard work areas
Decision making within clear guidelines & with support of the fellow team and management
When there is change in the structure of work or scope of responsibility, ample time will be provided to learn the new work thoroughly with opportunity for repetitive practice
Utilize hand tools and power tools used to secure and prepare orders of building materials
Read paperwork work orders, yard pick tickets and other details specifically detailed for customer orders
Calculate various units of measure for shipping building materials including calculations of board feet, linear feet, square feet, pieces, or various other units of measure used each day
Ability to use warehouse management system and enterprise system inventory control tools used to verify stock availability and inventory accuracy
Load and unload train rail cars containing materials
Sort, move and organize product departmentally while operating and using a variety of material handling equipment including a counter-balance forklift, side loading lift truck or other material handling equipment

Requirements
Patient work style interested in consistency dealing with repetitive routines
Follow safety expectations set by company safety policies
Able to lift 20-60 pounds throughout the work day
Ability to work independently while supporting exceptional teamwork of a larger work group
Flexibility to work overtime hours as needed
Experience operating material handling equipment such as a counter-balance forklift
Ability to solve problems, persevere when challenged by excessing workload demands, outside working conditions, and working independently
