Coast Electric is accepting applications for the position of Warehouseman for the Kiln Headquarters. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily warehouse operations by receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, and equipment. This position ensures materials are organized, accessible, and accounted for while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment in compliance with OSHA and Coast Electric standards. Our employees work together to find solutions, care for the people we serve, and make a positive difference in our communities.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoicesAccurately enter materials into inventory systems and maintain perpetual inventory recordsStore, organize, and stock materials for easy accessibilityPull and distribute materials based on work orders and job requirementsLoad and unload materials, including transformers and poles, using forkliftTrack and restock returned materials and maintenance suppliesMaintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standardsOperate forklifts and maintain required logTransport materials between district warehouses as neededAssist with tracking and managing tools, safety equipment, and repairsSupport operations for CoastConnect, LLC (fiber subsidiary) by managing fiber materialsAssist with warehouse operations in the absence of the Warehouse SupervisorJOB REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or equivalent is required; high school diploma preferredMust be able to acquire a Mississippi Class A Commercial Driver's License Ability to operate computer and warehouse related systemsAbility to obtain forklift certificationAbility to obtain CPR and First Aid certificationStrong organizational and inventory management skillsAbility to read and interpret work orders, manuals, and purchase documentsBasic math skills (including ratios, percentages, and measurements)Strong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to learn Rural Utilities Service (RUS) construction specifications and National Electric Safety Code (NESC) standardsWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Frequent exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vibration, and moving equipment. Occasional travel between warehouse locations. Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and perform repetitive motions. Manual dexterity sufficient to handle tools and small components.
