Warehouseman

Location: New York, NY
Work Mode: Local
Duration: 4 Weeks (Union role)
Schedule: FT, 11P-7A M-F and rotating weekends

Responsibilities:

• Perform work in the Central Sterile Processing Department under close supervision.
• Operate mechanical equipment for decontamination.
• Organize, stock, store, and rotate instruments, trays, and containers.
• Transport sterile and contaminated/soiled instruments according to policy and procedures.
• Transport case carts to user areas and return used carts to the Central Sterile Processing Department using a pony.
• Assist in case cart preparation according to procedure.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of motorized pony carts, trailers, case carts, and work area.
• Use precautionary procedures when transporting soiled and clean instruments.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of healthcare or customer service-related experience.
• Ability to lift moderately heavy items.
• Government issued driver's license.
• Obtain Pony driver's license within three months of hire and maintain it.
