Position Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVE:  Pack/weigh yarn returned from Tufting Department and use computer to enter information for tickets to be printed. 

Essential Duties:

• Pack yarn into a cardboard box or tray arrangement

• Check tube labels for correct lot and component.

• Use a computer to print the case labels.

• Changing strapping and stretch wrap (must have assistance of another employee when getting material and loading)

• Use a forklift move material from staging to packing area.

• Keep work area clean.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for at least 8 hours.

• Climb on and off lift several times per day.

• Withstand exposure to changes in both temperature and humidity must be able to work around dust and lint.

• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

• Frequently required to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, handle, speak, and hear
