Job Summary: The Warper is responsible for setting up and operating warping machines to prepare warp beams used in the weaving of mattress tapes and mattress ticking. This role ensures that yarns are properly aligned, tensioned, and wound to meet production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate warping machines according to production specifications.
Load yarn packages onto the creel and thread yarns through guides, tension devices, and reeds.
Monitor warping process to ensure correct yarn count, tension, and alignment.
Inspect beams for quality issues such as broken ends, uneven tension, or contamination.
Repair broken ends and correct threading errors as needed.
Label and record all beam information accurately for traceability.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on warping equipment.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a textile manufacturing environment, preferably in warping or weaving.
Knowledge of yarn handling, beam preparation, and warping techniques.
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift yarn packages or beams as required.
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team.
