Commercial Truck Warranty Processor

Location: Elmhurst FordDepartment: Commercial Truck ServiceJob Type: Full-Time (potentially part-time remote)

About the Position

Elmhurst Ford is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Truck Warranty Processor to join our growing Commercial Service Department. This position will be responsible for accurately processing warranty claims, ensuring proper documentation, and working closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, Parts, and Warranty Administrators to maximize warranty reimbursement and maintain manufacturer compliance. 

Responsibilities

  • Process and submit commercial truck warranty claims accurately and efficiently.
  • Review repair orders for proper documentation, labor operations, parts, mileage, authorization, and technician notes.
  • Verify warranty coverage and manufacturer requirements before submitting claims.
  • Ensure warranty claims meet Ford and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Track submitted claims and follow up on rejected, returned, or unpaid claims.
  • Correct and resubmit rejected warranty claims in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Service Advisors and Technicians to obtain missing information or documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of warranty claims and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor warranty receivables and assist with resolving outstanding claims.
  • Stay current on manufacturer warranty policies, procedures, and program updates.
  • Help ensure commercial truck repairs are properly documented to maximize warranty reimbursement.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy while handling a large volume of repair orders.

Qualifications

  • Previous automotive dealership warranty experience preferred.
  • Commercial truck or heavy-duty service experience is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of Ford warranty policies and procedures preferred.
  • Strong understanding of repair orders, labor operations, parts, and technician documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, advisors, management, and manufacturer representatives.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with dealership management systems is preferred.
