Monday-Friday (8 AM to 5 PM); Absolutely No Weekends!
Summary Description:
The Warranty Assistant helps prepare, record and submit warranty claims and reconciles them accordingly. Assists in processing warranty claims in a timely manner and processes all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation. Verifies criteria required by factory or distributor.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Processes and tracks all warranty RMA’s for customers.
Verifies criteria required by factory or distributor to process warranties.
Processes warranty claims in a timely manner for all three locations.
Submit claims quickly and efficiently.
Processes all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation.
Maintains communication with customers about warranties.
Processes and tracks all warranty returns to the vendor with proper information.
Maintains regular communication with the vendor.
Maintains warranty spreadsheet for tracking warranties through the entire process.
Reconciles all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule.
Posts warranty credits on the computer.
Resubmit all rejected claims promptly or receive authorization to write them off.
Follows up on payment of outstanding claims.
Assists with telephone duties as needed.
Performs office/clerical duties daily once the warranty is current.
Performs other tasks as required by Upper Management.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
2+ years of experience in working with warranties.
Prior experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Ability to speak and listen effectively.
Customer Service experience.
Numeric abilities and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and team management skills.
Excellent organization and project management skills.
Strong attention to detail and quality output.
Analytical Thinker.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with computers.
Physical Demands:
The noise level in the work environment may become loud.
Required to frequently communicate with customers.
May be required to constantly position self to bend, stoop, crouch, reach.
Required to consistently operate a computer and other office equipment.
Is occasionally exposed to airborne particles.
