Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical Warranty Manager to lead the warranty program for Hitachi ductless mini-split and VRF systems across North America. This role is crucial in continuously monitoring warranty data, identifying trends, and defining actions to improve product performance, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency.

What We Offer:

What You Will Do:

Manage the full warranty lifecycle, including review, validation, processing, and settlement of claims. Ensure claim decisions are timely, data-driven, and aligned with company policies. Continuously collect, manage, and analyze warranty data across all product lines. Generate regular reports on failure trends, warranty costs, parts replacement rates, and KPIs. Draw actionable insights from warranty and service data to define corrective actions, process improvements, and product enhancements. Identify root causes of recurring issues and initiate improvement plans. Work with engineering, quality, and product management teams to address product reliability improvements. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on data-driven conclusions. Act as a liaison between internal teams and external customers for warranty policy enforcement and clarification. Provide training to distributors and service partners on warranty claim submission and best practices. Review, update, and enforce warranty policies based on market needs and business objectives. Support audit processes for parts returns, claim validation, and cost control.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:

What we look for: Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 5+ years of HVAC industry experience in warranty management, service operations, or quality management. Strong expertise in data management tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms). Proven ability to build dashboards, run reports, interpret large data sets, and define business actions. Knowledge of ductless/mini-split HVAC technologies, components, and systems. Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with service, engineering, product management, and sales teams. Ability to travel up to 20% for field audits, supplier visits, or technical training. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with Hitachi ductless systems or similar high-end HVAC products. Technical certifications (EPA 608, NATE) are a plus. Experience with ERP and CRM systems (SAP, Salesforce). Familiarity with refrigerant transitions (R32, low-GWP initiatives).
